Information on artist:

Philip Naviasky (1894 - 1983)
was an English painter.  He studied at the Leeds School of Fine Art and
the RCA.  He exhibited widely during 1914 - 1940 and in 1932 - 33 had a one man
show at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery Preston.  He also exhibited at the 
ROI, RSA and RA.  He painted in watercolour, pastels, oil and is best known for
his portraits in oil of children, women and sketches of the  Yorkshire
Moors.
